St. Charles, Xou Louprasong, 67, of St. Charles died Sunday March 7, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Xou was born October 10, 1936 in Champasak, Laos. He and Thouang Phengarthlasy were married in 1957. In 1975 he and his family fled Laos and moved to Thailand. In 1979 he moved his family to the United States and settled in St. Charles on November 16, 1979. In 1982 Xou moved to Idaho, returning to St. Charles in 1990. He worked for North Star Foods in St. Charles and retired from Strongwell, Inc. of Chatfield. Survivors include his wife Thouang, 10 children, Vixay Louprasong of St. Charles; Samay Louprasong of Elgin, IL; Samone Phetsomphou of St. Charles; Sommay Marmod of Keaau, HI; Bounlay Louprasong of Pocatello, ID; Bouakhay Phouphommachack of St. Charles; Savay Behrens of Byron; Saveng Louprasong of Austin, TX; Lathanikone Louprasong of Dayton, OH and Pativath Louprasong of St. Charles, 13 grandchildren, two brothers Home Louprasong of Laos and Vay Louprasong of Stockton and a sister Chay Saphirak of Worcester, MA. Four brothers have preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be 12 noon on Saturday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel. Burial will follow services in Hillside Cemetery at St. Charles.
