Winette R. Dawdy

Winette R. Dawdy, 84, died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Winette was born May 27, 1921 in Macomb, IL to Earl and Edith "Fern" (Riggins) Jones. She married William W. Dawdy in Macomb, IL on December 24, 1939. Winette was a life long homemaker who had lived in Seattle, WA, California and had lived in Rollingstone for the past 6 years. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy L. (Bill) Heller of Rollingstone, MN; two grandchildren, Cyndee Heller of Pickwick, MN and Carrie (Ron) Gabriel of Lynnwood, WA; and a great granddaughter, Jennifer Heller of Rollingstone, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William and one brother, Audrey.A celebration of Winette's life will be held on Monday, April 10, 2006, at 6:00pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Tribute Center in Goodview, MN with funeral celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Burial has already taken place in Camp Creek Cemetery in Macomb, IL. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
