St. Charles,Wilma M. Burns of St. Charles, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. She was born May 29, 1921, to Martin and Martha (Kohlmeyer) Schroeder in Caledonia, MN. In 1944 she married W. L. (Bill) Burns and subsequently moved to St. Charles where they owned and operated the "Bakery" for 30+ years.She was very active in her community and church (St. Matthew's Lutheran) volunteering countless hours doing things that would be of benefit to others. Quilting, baking, walking, helping those in need, and spending time with her family and friends were her passions. She lived daily by truly advocating and performing God's will as an example for all those around her to follow. She is survived by her son Dana and wife Mary Burns of Eau Claire, WI, and daughter Edith and husband Randy Senst of Two Harbors, MN; grandchildren Larissa (Brent) Laufenberg of Chicago, IL, Marcus Burns of Eau Claire, WI, Paul (Cari) Senst of Duluth, MN, Karyn (Chris) Grenz of Pine Island, MN, Lee Senst, of Two Harbors, MN, and Jyll Senst of Duluth, MN; step-grandchildren Rebecca (Cory) Tennison of St. Paul, MN, Laurie Stalheim of Chicago, IL, and David (Julie) Stalheim of Peshtigo, WI; sisters in-law Mildred Schroeder of Caledonia, MN, Edna Burns of Caledonia, MN, Helen Buxengard of Caledonia, MN, and Esther Limper of Yuba City, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and a crowd of close friends and associates too numerous to mention. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Martha; husband, Bill; brothers, Donald and Orville Schroeder; and sister, Helen Ann.She will be sadly missed by all, but is finally enjoying the tranquility that was waiting for her in heaven. Hopefully the Almighty will allow her to make fruitcake for everyone there. We'll see you later, Mom!Funeral Services will be 1 PM Sunday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Rev. Michael Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 3-6 PM Saturday at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel.
