Altura, MN Willis E. Pasche, 74, of Altura, MN, died on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. Willis was born on November 25, 1934 in Winona County to Walter and Olga (Gensmer) Pasche. He was raised on the family farm and went to Rural School #28. He was baptized and confirmed at Norton Lutheran Church and later joined Hebron Moravian Church with his family. On November 12, 1955 Willis was united in marriage to Janet Kobler in Altura, MN. The couple lived in Winona and later moved to their home in Altura. Willis worked at Owl Motor Co., Roverude Construction, The Minnesota State Highway Dept., and for 35 years at Lake Center Switch. His hobbies included bird watching, cars, trains, tractors, and carving. He belonged to the Elks 327, MSRA, Vikings Chapter Car Club, Plymouth Owners Club, Inc., The Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association, and the Great Northern Tractor Club. Willis is survived by his wife Janet of Altura; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Peggy of Cokato, MN; his granddaughters, Amanda of Omaha, NE and Erica of St. Paul, MN; his brothers, James (Antoinette) Pasche and Roland (Charlotte) Pasche both of Rollingstone; his sister, LaVonne (Arthur) Nuthak of Butte, MT; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elnora, and brother-in-law Gene Hengel. The Funeral Service for Willis will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Our Saviors Moravian Church in Altura with the Reverend David Sobek officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Evangelical Cemetery Oak Ridge in rural Altura. Friends may call from 5-8pm on Friday, April 3 at Our Saviors Moravian Church and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
