William Paul Degnan, 76, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at his home in St. Charles, MN. Bill was born July 7, 1929 in Winona, MN to Peter and Florence (Duncanson) Degnan. He married Elaine Mundt on October 24, 1951 inMinneiska, MN. Bill was a heavy equipment operator, welder and farmer. He worked for Patterson and Mathy quarries, the City of St. Charles, Olmsted County and Rick Anderson Farms. Bill lived in Weaver, MN for 10 years and was on the church council at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneiska, MN, served on the Minneiska Town Board and the Planning and Zoning Board for Wabasha County. In St. Charles Bill was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and served on the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of St. Charles. Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling. He was a friendof Bill W. for 33 years. Survivors include his wife, Elaine and six children; Linda Reps of St.Charles and her children, Melissa (Tom) Shea, Adam and Mekenzie; Kathy (Jerry) Edwards of St. Charles, MN and their children, Shane (Kelle), Sara, Layne, Elizabeth (Carl Cosby); Marilynn (Dennis) Redig of Detroit Lakes, MN andtheir children, Heather (Kyle) Egenes, Brian (Marina), Daniel (Rachel) and Katie (Brian) Steele; Bill Degnan Jr. and his children, Dan and Jamie; Susan (John) Mundy of Wabasha, MN; and Thomas (Lisa) Degnan of St. Charles, MN and their children, Matthew Tito, Brandon Bailey, Amanda Degnan, Arielle Tito and Ryan Degnan; 8 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary(Bill) Holzer of Stewartville, MN and Joanie (Thomas) Dorsey of Lake Port, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, George. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church onWednesday, May 10, 2006 at 10:30am with the Reverend James Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles, MN. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8:00pm at the Church.The Rosary will be recited at 4:30pm with a Christian Prayer service at7:30pm.
