Lewiston, William Graham Roberton, 83, of rural Lewiston died Saturday May 19, 2007 at his home. William was born May 2, 1924 in Fremont Township of Winona County to William B. and Elsie Elizabeth (Knopp) Roberton. He served in the Army during WWII, stationed in Guam and the Philippines. On November 26, 1949 William and Helen Holst were married in St. Paul. They farmed on the Roberton family farm in Fremont Township where he was the 4th generation of the Roberton family to farm. William was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston and served as Elder. He also belonged to Evergreen Masonic Lodge of Clyde, the Lewiston American Legion Post #90 and had served on the Lewiston School Board. William enjoyed playing softball with his family, deer hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Helen, six children, David Roberton (Cindy Kieffer) of Goodview; Gary Roberton (Sheila Misso) of Rochester; Debra Krenzer of St. Charles; John Roberton (Sandy) of Winona; Tim Roberton of Lewiston and Shari (Brian) Holm of Utica, 12 grandchildren; Daniel, Stephanie, Zachary, Sarah, Megan, Patricia, John Jr. (Aubrey), Rachel, Jennifer (Derek), Tim (Alicia), Tara and Andrew, three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Laura and Mariya. He was preceded in death by a brother Tom, an infant sister, a grandson Ira Krenzer III, and a son-in-law Ira Krenzer II. Funeral Services will be 2PM Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Tim Gerarden officiating. Burial will follow in Fremont Scotch Cemetery, rural Lewiston. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Hoff Funeral Home in Lewiston. They may also call one hour before services at the church on Wednesday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Lewiston American Legion Post #90 will conduct military graveside honors.
