Lewiston, William Erwin "Bill" Richter, 42, of Lewiston died Wednesday morning November 8, 2006 at his with Home and Community Options in Lewiston. Bill was born September 12, 1964 in Winona to Erwin P. and Elizabeth "Betty" Richter. He graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 1985. Following high school Bill worked at Winona ORC until retiring due to ill health October 30, 2006. He lived at Home and Community Options in Lewiston since 1993. Bill was a great artist and a socialite. He voted for his first time on Tuesday, the day before his death. Bill enjoyed bowling, swimming, going out to eat and movies with friends. Most of all he enjoyed time with his family. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church ?Silo in rural Lewiston. Survivors include his mother Betty Richter of Lewiston, three sisters, Elizabeth (Rev. Bruce) Hobert of Mt. Dora, FL; Margi (Rev. Phil) McLain of Nashville, TN; and Ruth (Rev. Ed) Doepel of Aurora, ILL, two brothers, John (Denise) Richter of Charlotte, NC and Rev. Jim (Sara) Richter of Belleville, MI, 17 nieces and nephews and three grand nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Erwin P. Richter. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo in rural Lewiston with the Reverend David Meilner officiating. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4-8 PM Friday and one hour before services Saturday. Bill's family would like to thank Home and Community Options of Lewiston and Winona ORC wonderful care of Bill.
