Wilena M. Davis, 80, of St. Charles died Monday evening, December 23rd at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Wilena was born October 31, 1934 in Cowansville, Quebec, Canada to William and Jesse (Buss) Stone. She and Sewell Davis were married July 14, 1956 in Quebec, Canada. The first six years of their marriage they lived in Brome, Quebec before moving to Highgate, Vermont, where they raised their four sons. In 1987 Wilena and Sewell moved to the Avon Park and Sebring, Florida communities. Sewell died in 2006. Wilena was diagnosed with cancer and began treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She soon settled in St. Charles to be near family. Wilena was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, knitting, Country music, bingo and playing cards at the St. Charles Senior Citizen Center. She was a simple and kind person, with a good sense of humor. Survivors include her four sons; Terry (Sarah) Davis of Deland, Florida, Barry (Jeannie) Davis of St. Charles, Jeff (Renee) Davis of Uptown, Indiana and William of Burlington, VT, grandchildren; Jordan, Dylan (Sarah), Megan, Maureen, Nate, Grace, Christene, Jessica and Chris, Jesse, Elizabeth, Shawn and Amanda, two great-granddaughters, Lucy and Brianna, a sister, Gladys Thompson of Waterloo, Quebec and a special niece Catherine Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband Sewell and one sister. Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 24th at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Heather E. Klason officiating.
