Wesley "Wes" William Pierce, 82 of Lewiston, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Whitewater Health Services in St. Charles.
Wes was born October 20, 1935 at the home of his grandparents in rural Winona County. He was the oldest son of Simmons and Hazel (Roth) Pierce. Wes married Janice Giles on November 23, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church in Utica. Janice passed away August 28, 2003. Wes served in the National Guard and the United States Army. He worked for Curt Randall as a milk hauler, Lewiston Feed and Produce and lastly for 37 years as a lineman for Tri-County Electric.
Wes enjoyed fishing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. His garden was surrounded by many beautiful peonies. Wes is survived by his son, Jesse (Judy) Pierce of New Prague, MN; sisters, Frances (Cleyson) Plank and Norma Laqua both of Lewiston; brothers, Carlos (Helen) Pierce of St. Charles and Dale (Ann) Pierce of Utica; granddaughter, Ashley Grenier; great-granddaughter, Violet Grenier-Butler and great-grandsons, Declaen and Daxten Grenier. Wes is also survived by his brother-in-law, Don (Nancy) Giles; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents; brother-in-law, Ron Laqua; nephew, Rick Pierce and great-niece Missy Anderson, and a great-nephew, Austin Melville.
A Celebration of his life will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles led by Funeral Celebrant, Dianne Rislow. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
