Wayne Robert Greethurst

RUSHFORD, MINN. - Wayne R. Greethurst, 88, of Rushford died Friday, December 17, 2004, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Wayne was born on February 16, 1916 in Freemont Township of Winona County to Harry and Harriet (Boynton) Greethurst. He was raised in the Fremont area. On June 7, 1939 he married Elfrieda Boehmke. Wayne farmed in the Fremont area all of his career until 2001, when he retired and moved to Rushford. He is survived by his wife Elfrieda; son, Kenneth (Linda) Greethurst of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter, Joan Greethurst of Germantown, Wis.; three grandchildren: Kevin, Julie and Jenny; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gertrude Thompson of Spring Valley, Minn. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Edwin Greethurst and one sister, Leila Christopherson.
