Winona, MN - Wayne Paul Beckman, 52, of Winona passed away suddenly at his home in Winona on Friday, May 28, 2010. Wayne was born November 9, 1957, to Arnold and Dolores (Keller) Beckman in Winona, MN. He moved with his family to Aurora, Ill., where he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's Church and graduated from high school in 1975. He attended the University of Illinois at Champaign before entering the United States Air Force. He served with the Air Force from 1977-1981 during which time he was stationed in Germany. Following this, he worked independently with construction and home improvement over the years. He was also a stay at home father to his 5 children. Wayne married Patricia Kelleher on October 11, 1980, at the chapel of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill. Their union was blessed with five children, Matt, Bryce, Dustin, Myles and Autumn. They were later divorced.He lived in the Winona area most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, was fascinated by landscape scenery, and working with his hands. He enjoyed playing and coaching soccer with his children, and many other youth in the Winona area throughout the years. Wayne is survived by his five children and their spouses, Matt (Shaylee) Beckman of Federal Way, WA, Bryce (April) Beckman of Rochester, MN, Dusty Beckman, Myles Beckman, and Autumn Beckman, all of Winona, MN; one granddaughter Aislynn Beckman, his mother Dolores Beckman of Goodview, MN, two brothers and three sisters, Keith Beckman of Goodview, MN, Gary Beckman of Plano Ill., Melanie (Rodney) Bond of Baskett, KY, Wendy (Chuck) Angela of Valrico, FL, and Tammie Beckman of Goodview, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Arnold Beckman.A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Hansen Goodview Chapel, 3480 Service Drive.
