Wayne Allen Dotzenrod

Wayne Alvin Dotzenrod, 69, of Chatfield, Minnesota, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital - St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.

Wayne  was born October 30, 1944 to Lloyd and Lorraine (Rogstad) Dotzenrod in Grand Meadow, Minnesota.  He grew up in Grand Meadow, graduating from Grand Meadow High School in 1962. He then  enlisted in the US Navy and he served until 1966.  Wayne graduated from Prince George's Community College with an AA in Arts.   He worked as a police officer from 1973-1993 in Prince George’s County, Maryland.  Wayne was one the first motorcycle officers for the police department.     He later returned to Chatfield where he worked for Hammell Equipment since 1994.

Wayne is survived by his daughter Ashley (Brian) Marschel of Apple Valley, and son Devin Dotzenrod of Chatfield.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield with Pastor Mark Docken of Chatfield Lutheran Church officiating.  Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Spring Valley Cemetery in Spring Valley with Military Honors accorded by VFW Chatfield Post 6913.
