RUSHFORD, MINN. - Wayne D. Lee, 76, of Rushford, died on Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home. Wayne was born on February 22, 1932, in Rushford to Theodore "Tyge" and Cora (Evenson) Lee. He was raised in the Peterson area and graduated from Peterson High School. He married Kathleen Nordby on November 10, 1956, in Spring Valley, Minn. He lived in Jaynesville, Wis. for a short time where he did auto body work. He then moved to Rushford and worked for the Schueller Mink Ranch for 25 years. Wayne also worked for the City of Rushford for several years until his retirement in 1987. His greatest love besides his family was feeding and watching the birds in his backyard. He is survived by his wife Kathleen; three children: Scott (Debra) Lee of Rushford, Brenda (Adam) Warrenburg of Peterson, and Patrick (Dr. Kay Johnson) Lee of Rushford; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Curtis (Nancy) Lee and Dick (Portia) Lee both of Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lyle. The public is invited to a family gathering and luncheon to remember Wayne on Sunday, April 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Peterson, Minn.
