Warren Allen Peterson, 58 of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and friends after a 10-month battle with Leukemia.
Warren was born July 23, 1960 in Winona to Everett Peterson and Arlene Geilow. He spent his early years at the farm in Yucatan under the loving care of his father and grandparents, Art & Inez Peterson. He later moved back to Winona and attended Winona Public Schools. Warren also later attended Minnesota State College - SE Tech.
He was self-employed most of his career - using many of his talents with construction, carpentry, excavating, masonry and various others. Warren married Wendy Peterson and spent many years in a beautiful valley outside of Stockton MN.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, four-wheeling, playing guitar, horseback riding, vintage cars, cooking hog roasts, loving his pets and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
Warren is survived by his wife, Wendy; children, Mitchell (Susan) Barnett of Elko New Market, MN and Melissa Peterson of Winona; grandson, Gavin Barnett; sisters, Sandy (Billy) Peterson and Cindy (Jason) Peterson both of Winona and brothers, Dean (Kellie) Peterson of Moyock, NC and John (Tammy) Peterson of Spring Grove; father-in-law, Lyle Peterson of Houston; brothers-in-law, Doug (Katie) Peterson of Edina and Travis (Kari) Peterson of Houston and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a great niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett (Winnie) Peterson, Arlene Geilow and mother-in-law, Anita Peterson.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend Mike Short officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview and one hour prior to the service at church.
