W. Keith McCallum

Rushford, MN W. Keith McCallum, 92, of Rushford, MN, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Keith was born on December 22, 1915 in Amherst Township, near Canton, MN, to Robert and Maude (Case) McCallum. He graduated from Lanesboro High School and worked on his family farm until 1948. On June 12, 1948, Keith married Marian Markegard at Rushford Lutheran Church in the parsonage. He worked at Miller Chevrolet and Morken's Ford, both in Rushford, as a mechanic. For 20 years, Keith worked at Delta Import Motors in LaCrosse as their Mercedes mechanic. He was a member of the Rushford Fire Department for 25 years. Keith enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, going to steam engine shows, nature, animals, limericks, metal detecting, motorcycling, and anything mechanical. He will be dearly missed. Keith is survived by his son, Dennis (Sandee) McCallum of Rochester, MN; two granddaughters, Carmen McCallum (Jason Pederson) from St. Michael, MN and Amanda McCallum (Jay Patterson) from Seattle, WA; two great-granddaughters, Adalyn and Sophia Pederson; and special friend, Audrey Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marian, and two brothers. The Funeral Service for Keith will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 12 at Hoff Funeral Home ? Rushford Chapel in Rushford, MN with the Reverend Wade Davick officiating. Burial will follow at Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Friday April 11 at Hoff Funeral Home ? Rushford Chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
