Vylas D. Lee

HOUSTON, MINN. - Vylas D. Lee, 77, of LaCrescent, Minn. and formerly from Houston, Minn. died Sunday, January 2, 2005, at Franciscan ? Skemp Healthcare in LaCrosse, Wis. She was born on September 19, 1927 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Lloyd and Lilly (Anderson) Peterson. She was raised in Houston and graduated from Houston High School. On September 18, 1954, she married Dale Lee. Vylas worked at Dr. Moen's Dental Office in Houston. She and her husband farmed together for many years in the Houston area. She was a 4-H leader for the Silver Creek Rustlers. And was a past member of the Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Houston where she was in the ladies aide. Vylas enjoyed baking, canning and being with family. She loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Dale; one daughter Marjorie (Greg) Waldenberger of Houston; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Alex. Vylas' parents preceded her in death. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2005, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel. Burial will be in the Swede Bottom Cemetery in Houston. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Friday also at the funeral home.
