Vixay Louprasong of St. Charles, passed away December 20, 2020 in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born January 28, 1958 to Xou Louprasong and Thouang Phengarthlasy in Champasak, Laos.
Vixay moved to Pocatello, Idaho as a young man. He worked at a potato factory to support himself. During this time, he met his future wife, Oulay Thanno. They would go on to enjoy 37 years of marriage and raise two sons, Richard and Ryan in St. Charles, MN. Throughout his marriage, he supported his family working at North Star Foods as a factory worker, and Hawthorne Suites as a housekeeper.
Vixay loved to go fishing and hunting. He enjoyed being with his friends, raising vegetables in his garden and singing Karoke. He loved his family unconditionally. All he ever dreamed of was to create a better life for his family with his wife and two sons in America. He will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him. Vixay is survived by his wife Oulay; sons Richard Louprasong of Los Angeles, CA and Ryan Louprasong of Minneapolis, MN, mother Thouang Louprasong of St. Charles, nine siblings; Samay "Mindy" Louprasong (Daniel), Samone (Souk) Phetsomphou, Sommay (Mark) Marmod, Bounlay (Deang) Louprasong, Bouakhay (Vongsack) Phouphoummachack, Savay (Steve) Behrens, Saveng Louprasong, Lathanikone (Amber) Louprasong and Pativath Louprasong and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Xou Louprasong.
Funeral Services will be from 12:30 - 3 p.m. Saturday, December 26th at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
