WINONAVivian Julia Wille, 88, of Winona died Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Sterling House in Winona.Vivian, the youngest child of Louis and Alice (DeMann) Fick, was born May 10, 1924 in St. Charles, MN. After graduating from St. Charles High School in 1943, Vivian earned her teaching license and taught at rural country schools from 1944 until 1949. Shortly after her 25th birthday, Vivian was united in marriage to Donald Wille on August 20, 1949 at the Plainview Church of Christ. She later graduated from secretarial school in Winona and worked in the registrar's office at the College of St. Teresa from 1957-1988.From potato salad to apple pie, Vivian was an excellent cook, and her dishes were always appreciated at various family potlucks. She had a zest for life and loved traveling to the North Shore with her son, Don, and his family.She is survived by her son, Don (Nancy) Wille of Goodview; grandson, Steve (Jocelyn) Wille of Savage; brothers-in-law, Delbert (Helen) Wille of Winona, Duane (Catherine) Wille of Sidney, OH, and Jerry (MaryLou) Wille of Jacksonville, FL; many nieces and nephews. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, who died in 1988 of Lou Gehrig's disease; brother, August (Neva) Fick; sisters, Marie Googins, Geraldine Fick, Martha (Scott) Clark, and two infant sisters.The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Wayne Kelly and the awesome staff at the Sterling House for the great care given to Vivian.A Celebration of Vivian's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, led by Funeral Celebrant, Jenny Hoff. After the service, a casual gathering of family and friends will continue until 12:30 p.m. with a lunch being provided.
