Vicky Lee (Burgr) Sample

Vicky Lee Sample, 70, of Chatfield, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in Rochester.

Victoria “Vicky” Lee Burgr was born February 14, 1952 in Preston, to Stanley and Virginia (Hougheltin) Burgr.  Vicky grew up in Chatfield and graduated from Chatfield High School in 1970.  She married Donald Sample on November 7, 1969 at Chatfield Lutheran Church.

She worked for Strongwell for 37 years, she was a member of the Chatfield Ambulance for 25 years. She enjoyed quilting with friends, and going to Pine Needles. She enjoyed gardening and going out for breakfast at Perkins with family and friends.

Vicky is survived by her loving husband Don of 52 years, daughter Julie (Dan) Rupprecht of Chatfield; son Jeremiah (Shannon) Sample of Rochester; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rosie (Mandell) Coulson of St. Charles, and Becky (Robert) Jahnke of Chatfield.  She is preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, infant son, sister and brother in-law Barbara and Allen Reese.

Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Chatfield Lutheran Church from 5 – 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Chatfield Lutheran Church or Sample family.
