Verna M. Scherbring

Verna M. Scherbring, 85, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. Verna was born December 29, 1920 in Waumandee, WI to George and Edna (Zeller) Pronschinske. She married Irvin J. Scherbring in Waumandee, WI on October 3, 1944. The couple moved to the Rollingstone area where they farmed for many years. Verna enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, and as most farm wives Verna was an excellent cook, baker and canner. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Verna was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its St. Teresa Society. Survivors include her five children, LaVern (Janet) of Rollingstone, MN, LeRoy (Diannia) of Minnesota City, MN, Dale (Shirley) of Winona, MN, Lorraine (John) Brinkman of Lake City, MN and Dolores Exe of Holmen, WI; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Roman (Ruth) Pronschinske of Arcadia, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, brothers, Louis, Raymond and twin brother, Joseph, sister, Alice and great grandson, Hunter Klink.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm Sunday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church where there will be a Christian Prayer Service at 7:30pm.
