HOFF FUNERAL HOMES - ST. CHARLES CHAPEL 507-932-4100 DOVER, MINN. - Vera Millard, 96, of Dover, died Friday, August 19, 2005, at the St. Isidore Nursing Home in Plainview, Minn. Vera was born on January 30, 1909, in Dover, Minn. to Theobold and Mary Britzius. She lived her entire life in the Dover and Eyota areas until entering the nursing home. In October of 1929, she married LeRoy Millard. She was a member of the Dover United Methodist Church in Dover, Minn. Her interests included gardening, canning, cooking and baking. Vera was a very caring person who was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons: Rowland (Cora) Millard of Rochester, Minn., Maynard (Edrie) Millard of Dover, Minn. and Leonard (Lee Poppin) Millard of St. Charles, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, one son, Dayton and one brother, Elmer. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2005, at the Dover United Methodist Church in Dover with the Rev. Sharon Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Dover. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
