Thomas David "Tommy G." Glover, 61, passed away at his home in Red Wing on Sunday December 26, 2010. Tom was born April 23, 1949 in Preston to William and June (Hall) Glover. He grew up in St. Charles and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1967. Tom served three years in the Army and was stationed in Germany during that time. Upon his discharge Tom traveled the world before returning to St. Charles. Tom, with his life companion Renee Plass, owned and operated TR's Bar and Eatery in Lewiston, prior to moving to Red Wing. He is survived by his loving companion Renee Plass of Red Wing, his mother June Glover, who resides at Golden Living Center in St. Charles, two brothers, Don (Carol) Glover of Mahtomedi, MN and Jim Glover and his lifetime companion Sharon Kavaleski of Utica, a sister Susan (Virgil) Vickerman of White Bear Lake, MN, Renee's children, Mike and Heather Plass of Lewiston, Bryan and Miriam Plass of Ames, IA, six grandchildren; Meadow, Michael Jr., Eli, Adelaide, Jacob and Abigail, nieces; Chris, Leigh, Sarah, Jenna and Melissa, a nephew Matthew and six great-nieces and nephews with more on the way. Tom is also survived by his "always loving" companion Muffin the cat, who is already looking for Tom's lap to sit on for the day. He was preceded in death by his father William "Pete" Glover and two dogs, Sally and Babe. Tom was an avid bicyclist, who once bicycled from Seattle, WA to Lewiston. He also enjoyed golfing. Tom will be remembered for his great sense of humor and will be missed by all who love him. Services to Remember Tom will be 11AM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles. Military honors will be conducted by the St. Charles American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts following services at the funeral. Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow services at Jimmy G's in Utica.
