PICKWICK, MN - Todd R. "Orangey" Kieselhorst, age 47, passed away at his home in Pickwick, MN on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in May.
Todd was born at a military hospital in Munich, Germany on April 27, 1969. He and his mother returned to the U.S. when the was 7 months old. He lived his entire life in Southeast Minnesota. Todd attended and graduated from Houston High School in Houston, MN in 1987.
Todd and Emily (Gerdes) married in 2000. Of this union came two children, Austyn and Audrie. Todd and Emily later divorced.
Todd worked hard his entire life, working for local farmers, roofing, construction work, logging and most recently was employed by River City Concrete. He was so proud of his new cement truck that had his name on the door.
Todd loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook, making dishes from his grandma's recipe cards. He and his buddy, Mike, made various kinds of specialty meats which they shared with neighbors.
Todd is survived by his children, Austyn and Audrie, both of Ridgeway, MN; mother and step-father, Carol and Hap Lettner of Lake Placid, Florida; two brothers: Troy (Michelle) of Rollingstone, MN, and their children, Brittnie and Blaine, and Jared of Houston, MN and his children, Trace and Wyatt; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also had many friends and neighbors who were a big part of his life.
Todd's family would like to thank Winona Area Hospice, Pickwick First Responders, Gundersen Health System, and family and friends who made it possible for Todd to be at home during his final days.
In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials directed to the Pickwick Fire and Rescue.
There will be a visitation for Todd on Wednesday, July 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN.
