Thomas "Tom" Victor Dockter, 55, of Money Creek, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. He was born on February 4, 1961 to LeRoy and Darlene (Ledebuhr) Dockter in Caledonia, MN. Tom graduated from Houston High School in 1979 then attended the technical school in Winona where he received his associates degree. Traveling to Michigan for work, he met Denise Meeker. They were married on May 12, 1984 and had two boys, Anthony and David, but later divorced. He spent most of his career working for Wenonah Canoe doing trim work. Tom was a man who loved the outdoors. He spent his free time camping, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, road tripping, searching for Indian artifacts, gardening, cooking and wood working. But most of all he loved his boys, grandchildren and family. Tom is survived by his two sons, Anthony (Tanya) Dockter and David (Kelly) Dockter; grandchildren, Braelee, Blakelyn, and Kip; siblings, Doug (Sue) Dockter, Tim (Lee Elson) Dockter, and Darcy Dockter; one niece, Lauren Elson; and nephews, Jared and Cole Papenfuss and Hunter Dockter. He is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Money Creek United Methodist Church with Reverend James Strom officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Hoff Funeral Home, Houston, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, Houston, MN is assisting the family with arrangements.
