Thomas “Tom” Rudnik

Thomas “Tom” Daniel Rudnik, 80, of Winona, MN passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. He was born on August 19, 1944, in Winona, MN to Ted and Frances (Ives) Rudnik. He grew up in Winona and graduated from Cotter High School in 1962.

Tom married his wife, Jenine Marie Butlin, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in a double wedding with her sister Patty (Jim Rockers). January 9th, 2025, would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. They have 3 children, Lisa, Michael, and Cathy. 

Tom loved playing pool with his childhood friends. He also enjoyed playing cards with family members and listening to classic country music. Tom was an excellent Stonemason constructing different pieces for their beautiful yard. Tom enjoyed taking long walks in the neighborhood and around Lake Winona. He also enjoyed fishing with his brothers-in-law.

Tom was a loving husband, father, and friend.

He is survived by his wife Jenine, daughter Lisa (Michelle), son Michael, and daughter Cathy; Sister-in-law Barbara Rudnik, Winona, MN; Sister-in-law Patty Rockers, Rochester, MN; Brother-in-law Jim Winestorfer, Rochester, MN; Sister-in-law Marsha (Don) Kukowski, Winona, MN; Sister-in-law Pam Whitaker, Winona, MN; Sister-in-law Mary (Phil) Meier, Winona, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents Ted and Frances, and siblings William, James, Richard, and Patricia (Lehnertz), sister-in-law Sandi Winestorfer, brother-in-law Jim Rockers, and brother-in-law Dick Whitaker.

A visitation will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN, the memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a meal to follow.
