Thelma Mary Timmerman, 90, of St. Charles died Tuesday evening November 11, 2008 at her home at St. Charles Assisted Living. Thelma was born September 20, 1918 in Carroll , IA to Albert and Rose (Wiederin) Pudenz. She and Clem A. Timmerman were married on April 27, 1937 at Mt. Carmel , IA. They farmed in Iowa until moving to the Dover area in 1957 to farm. In 1974 they retired from farming and moved to St. Charles . Thelma previously worked for St. Mary's Hospital and Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles . She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed gardening and making crafts. Survivors include seven children; Mary Hetrick, Lois Busack, Kay (John) Guidinger, Joan (Jim) Slavin, Carol (Robert) Frisby and Dan (Janet) Timmerman all of Rochester and Gary (Terry) Timmerman of Minneapolis, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, three brothers; Art (Millie) Pudenz of Kansas City, MO, Ken (Karen) Pudenz of Columbia, MO and Fred (Theresa) Pudenz of Omaha, NE, three sisters; Marian Boes of Spring Green, WI, Alice (Luverne) Vonnahme of Storm Lake, IA and Irma Knobbe of Carroll, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband Clem on October 21, 1998 . She was also preceded by two grandchildren, Rick Hetrick and Tony Timmerman, three brothers, Paul, Walt and Ralph Pudenz and by a son-in-law Richard Hetrick. A Funeral Mass will be 11AM Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend James F. Callahan celebrating. Private burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles . Friends may call at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 2-5 PM Sunday and 10 - 11 AM Monday.
