RUSHFORD, MINN. - Teman G. Hallum, 86, of Rushford died Wednesday, November 02, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minn. Teman was born on September 19, 1919, in Whalan, Minnesota to Clarence and Marie (Nelson) Hallum. He was raised in the Whalan area and attended Diamond Creek Schools. He farmed South of Peterson for 53 years. Teman retired, and moved to Rushford in 1997. He married Geneva Olson on September 5, 1942. He was a member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, Minn. where he was also a member of the Highland Prairie Men's Club. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Senior Center. Teman's interests included fishing, watching high school sports, the Minnesota Twins and most of all being with his family. He is survived by one son, Clifford (Dianne) Hallum of Rushford; four daughters: Mary (Dennis) Nelson of Eagan, Minn., Lois (Eric) Pawlowski of Winona, Minn., Lorraine (Paul) Martin of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Carolyn (Scott) Panning of Blaine, Minn.; nine grandchildren: Tony, Chris, Sue, Kristy, Stacy, Chad, Jennifer, Ali and Kayla; nine great-grandchildren: Tyler, Teman, Idella, Hannah, Josephine, Samuel, Joshua, Noah and Levi; two brothers: Edwin (Ione) Hallum of Rushford, Minn. and Milton (Kathy) Hallum of Lanesboro, Minn.; two sisters: Alice (Lyle) Lee of Peterson, Minn. and Alma Benson of Rushford, Minn.; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, Ray and John, and one sister, Cora Mattson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, at the Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, Minn. Burial will be in the East Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Peterson, Minn. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Highland Prairie Lutheran Church or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
