Tammara Anne Welp

Tammara Anne Welp, 37, of St. Charles died Tuesday October 24th in a motor vehicle accident at her home. Tammy was born May 29, 1969 in Canberra, Australia to James and Althea (Lockwood) Brossard. She moved to the United States as a child and was raised in the Kasson - Mantorville area, graduating from West Concord High School in 1987. After high school Tammy attended The College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, graduating in 1991 with a degree in Computer Science. She also attended Mankato State University, receiving a degree in education in 1992. Tammy and James Welp were married August 27, 1993 in Austin. They made their home in Kasson until moving to St. Charles in 1997. She worked at IBM of Rochester as a Software Engineer. Tammy was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where she was active in Faith Formation and St. Anne's Unit. Tammy was a kind hearted and un-selfish person with a great sense of humor. Her family was her life. Survivors include her husband, Jim, two sons; Alexander and Sebastian both at home, her father James (Deborah) Brossard of Albert Lea, her mother Althea Lockwood of Dallas, TX, two brothers Tim (Maria) Brossard of Sanger, TX and Thomas (Sylwia) Brossard of Portland, OR and a paternal grandmother Delores Sherburne of Albert Lea. She was preceded in death by a son Gabriel, a brother David Brossard and grandparents, Rupert & Betty Lockwood, James and Evelyn Brossard and Glenn Sherburne A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend James Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
