Suzanne Crossman, 74 of Rochester and formerly of Houston, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home.Suzanne was born October 10, 1940 in in Dayton, Ohio to James and Pauline (McKee) Samuels, Sr. She graduated from Eaton High School in Ohio. In August of 1969, she married Toby Crossman. Toby and Suzanne made their home in the Houston area where Suzanne owned and operated the Yucatan Supper Club for many years. Suzanne was very active in the Houston American Legion Auxiliary, serving as past president and various roles on the district level as well.Suzanne's one true passion was animals. Whether it was farm animals, wild animals or pets, she loved them all. She is survived by her husband, Toby; son, James (Kathy) Clark of La Crescent; two daughters, Teresa (Michael) Ash of St. Paul and Malynda Jordahl; five grandchildren, Zachary (Amber) Clark, Travis (Toni) Clark, Jakob (Abby) England, Amanda (fiancé Toby) England and Emma Crossman; four great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Collin, Gavin and Bree; two brothers, Jim (Judy) Samuels and Don (Sue) Samuels; and one sister, Donna (Kay) Samuels.Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son, Michael Crossman.Funeral Service will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Houston. Burial will follow at the Yucatan Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
