Steven Joseph Heim

Steven Joseph Heim, age 67, of Stewartville, passed away on November 14,2024 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Mary's Campus. 

Steven was born on October 4, 1957 at Winona General Hospital the son of Joseph and Shirley Ann (Spitzer) Heim. He was raised in Lewiston and attended Lewiston Schools. He was an active member of the Lewiston Cardinal basketball team. Steven entered the United States Air Force in Grand Forks, North Dakota and was an Airman Basic. Steven was an over-the-road semi driver until he started AJ & MJ Towing in Stewartville, serving all of SE Minnesota. Steven married Robin Jean Burkhart at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview. Robin passed away in 2023. Steven remained in the area following Robin's death. He loved working outside, spending time with his family and was an avid Vikings fan.

Steven will be sadly missed by his parents Joseph and Shirley Heim of St. Charles, his children Adam Heim of Waterville, MN, Matthew Heim of St. Charles, Cheyenne (Daron Gagnon) Heim of Grand Rapids, MI and one grandson Christopher Gagnon. He is further survived by his siblings Jesse Heim and Nancy Heim and nephews Joseph and Robert Ferguson. 

He was preceded in death by his brother Matthew Heim in 1976 and his wife, Robin on May 24, 2023.

Funeral services for Steven will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in St. Charles. 

Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemtery of St. Charles.
