Stanley Schaub

April 28, 1932 — August 2, 2016

Stanley Will Schaub , 84, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Winona Health. He was born April 28,1932 to Roswell Schaub and Rose(Plank)Schaub on the home farm in Alma, WI and was a 1950 graduate of Alma High School.
Stanley was drafted into the Army in 1952 and returned home in 1954. He then started college in the Fall of 1954 and graduated in 1958 from Winona Teachers College. He started teaching Junior High Science at Byron Public School, Bryon Minnesota in the fall of 1958. On October 23, 1976 Stanley married Eleanor (Bunge) Schaub. She passed away on August 18, 1989.
Stanley retired from teaching at Bryon the spring of 1987.
He spent his retirement years in leisure doing what he loved , READING.
In 2008, he returned to the home farm where he was born where Wayne and Ann took care of him until his passing. Stanley loved to eat and thoroughly enjoyed the good old fashioned home cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roswell and Rose, brothers Glenn
and Eugene and sister Adeline(Balk). He will be deeply missed by his family. Wayne and Ann Schaub of Alma,WI, Sarah Schaub of Fond du Lac, WI and Sharon and Dennis Kennebeck of Buffalo City, WI and Joanne Schaub of Winona,MN along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends will be from 4-6 PM Friday, August 5th at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Winona. Burial will be in the Grand view Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rochester, MN at a later date. Please leave a memory of Stanley at his on-line guestbook at www.hofffuneral.com.
