Sherry Kay Farren, 62 of Winona, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at her home. She was born January 11, 1955 in L'anse, Michigan to Doug and June (Koski) Strauch. After living there for years, she moved to Milwaukee. In Milwaukee, she ran her own in-home daycare for several years. In 1982, she moved to Houston, MN where she resided for years until later making her home in Winona, MN. On January 3, 1990, she married Tom Farren. She made her love of crafting into a career and often set up booths at craft shows. Sherry was an avid gardener and an amazing cook. While she loved traveling, collecting Santa's, and shopping, she was happiest spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Sherry is survived by her father, Doug Strauch; children, Christine (Mike) Perrier, Mike (Rebecca) Farren, Troy (Sara) May, Joe Farren, and Paul (Kristen Hatten) Farren; grandchildren, Eric and Ashley Perrier, Thea, Faith, and Maximus May, Jon, Beth, and Katie Farren, Tommy Farren, and Liam Farren; siblings, Cindy, Susie, Pam, Lori, Charlie, and Stevie; her longtime companion, David Ward; and first husband, Craig May; She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Farren; and mom, June Strauch. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Winona, with Reverend Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:30 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2017 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
