Sharon Fulkerson

Sharon Louise Fulkerson, age 86 of Winona, died peacefully on December 12, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Sharon was born on March 20, 1938, to Floyd and Grace (Fangmeier) Fields in Pipestone, MN. The oldest of five children, she held a special bond with her siblings, especially the two youngest, Ken and Sally. She married Sheldon in October 1956. She adored her children and spent many hours teaching them how to do tasks around the hobby farm and creating special fun times and lasting memories. Partly out of necessity and because she was gifted, she worked professionally as a seamstress. She also knitted intricate sweaters for a local yarn shop. Later she worked as a Clerk Treasurer for the City of Spring Park and then for the City of St. Francis, MN. She was an avid homemaker and created beautiful gardens and house plants. Sharon loved her dogs, most recently Lacey. She enjoyed any activity with her family, especially fishing. 

Sharon will remain in the hearts of her children James (Gigi) Fulkerson and Shellie (Bruce) Nelson. She is survived by two brothers Kenneth (Judy) Fields and Ivan Fields; brother-in-law Bob Dalbec; nieces and nephews. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Sheldon of 66 years; infant son Kent; her parents; sister and best friend Sally Dalbec; brother Ronald (Miriam) Fields; sister-in-law Connie Fields.

A private family burial will be held for Sharon in Mora, MN. Cards may be sent to Hoff Celebration of Life Center.
