Shari Sojka

Shari Lynn(Sanders) Sojka, age 69, of Dover, MN, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at her home peacefully, surrounded by family.

Shari Lynn was born May 21, 1955, the daughter of Roger and Betty (Schaale) Sanders. She graduated from St. Charles High School. She was united in marriage to Ricky Peck, and to this union one child was born. Ricky preceded her in death. Shari moved to Washington, IA, and lived there for several years. She eventually returned to Minnesota, to help her parents on the family farm.

Shari held many jobs throughout the years, including McClerry Calendar Factory in Washington, IA, Camera Art, and she retired from Watkins in Winona. She enjoyed fishing, gopher trapping, riding side-by-sides, gardening and flowers. She and Jim took many winter trips to Arizona, and summer trips to Lake Superior and Lake Michigan and the Dakotas.

She had a kind heart, and was willing to help anyone. She was a loving mother, and companion. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her good friend Jim Bedtke of Dover; daughter, Christine (Howard) Stewart of Chatfield; grandsons: Howard Stewart, Jr., Hogan (Jaylynn) Stewart, and Hoss Stewart all of Chatfield; sister, Carolyn Clemens of Dover.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Betty Sanders; sister, Luann Halbakken; brothers, Steve and Tom Sanders; and nephew, Brad Sanders.

Memorials are preferred to the Little Valley Cemetery in Dover, MN.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Little Valley Cemetery in Dover, MN, on Friday September 13, 2024 at 1pm.
