Scott "Scotty" Donald Kaehler, 38, of Rochester died at his home on Monday, February 15, 2021. Scott was born June 4, 1982, in Rochester to Frank and Mary (Burke) Kaehler. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 2001 and went on to study at North Dakota State University. Following college, Scott worked at Mayo Clinic as a phlebotomist. He later worked in tech support for Charter Communications. Scott was currently a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, working from the Bear Creek office in Rochester. Scotty and Laci Dixon were married August 3, 2017.
Scotty loved to play board games, video games, and poker. He especially enjoyed strategy games. Scotty enjoyed spending time with his large circle of friends. He was always willing to help any friend who needed a hand. He was "the fun uncle" who took his nieces and nephews fishing, built Legos, played with tractors, and always gave the loudest, most fun toys as gifts. Scott's pride and joy was his young son, Jason, who he cherished and loved!
Survivors include his wife, Laci; a son, Jason; step-daughter, Zenobia Donaldson; parents, Frank and Mary Kaehler; siblings, Nicole (Lowell) Jabs, Rachel Leaver, Leah (Andy) Mindemann, Angela (Kyle) Hotz and Lyndsie (Kyle) Balstad, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Please observe current social distancing and facemasks requirements.
A Celebration of Life Service for immediate family and close friends will be 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles, led by Reverend Tim Biren of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles.
