Sandra "Sandy" Joyce Lubinski, age 75, of Fountain City, WI passed away at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse on Friday, September 6, 2024 with her family by her side.

Sandy was born on April 16, 1949 in Caledonia, MN the daughter of Wallace David Stanley Senn and Ruby Bodelia (Beardmore) Senn. She was the oldest of five children. The family lived in Houston County and Sandy was a graduate of Houston High School. She then attended Winona Area Technical School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 1970. Various places of employment included Winona Community Memorial Hospital, Cochrane Lutheran Home, and the Winona Clinic LTD, where she spent the last 24 years of her nursing career. She was the Department Coordinator for the Family Practice and Surgery Departments for the last 12 years. Sandy was also a dedicated EMT for the Scenic Valley Ambulance Service for 7 years.

Sandy married Robert "Bob" Anthony Lubinski on December 11, 1971 in Houston, MN. The couple lived in Wisconsin since 1972. They raised beef cattle for almost 17 years and then greatly enjoyed their home along the Mississippi River. Sandy equally enjoyed her time in Arizona where her daughter and son-in-law reside. Sandy and Bob enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and around the country in their motorhome and on their motorcycle. The couple made 17 trips to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Wendover, Utah to race the Flatliner’s 1931 Roadster. Sandy supported her husband in all his adventures while enjoying a good fiction book, shopping at antique malls and attending craft fairs. Sandy was a proud Lion/Lioness member since 1989. Over the years she enjoyed participating in numerous events, fundraisers, meetings and held the office of President and Vice President several times. Camp Winnebago was a special interest for her as she served on the Board of Directors from 1997-2002. Helping people through the Lion/Lioness group was Sandy's passion. She was also a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Cochrane, WI and taught Sunday school for a few years.

Sandy greatly enjoyed the ebb and flow of life as a wife, a nurse, a farmer, a mother and grandmother. She was known as the neighborhood "grandma" in Queen Creek, AZ and was a good friend to all those she came to know. She traveled the US with her husband, attended many a Nascar race and was happiest spending time with her family. Sandy was a writer and into ancestry leaving many wonderful notes and stories about her life and those she loved.

One of her favorite quotes was "Life is a lot like a coin; you can spend it any way you want, but you only spend it once".

Sandy will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years Robert "Bob" Lubinski of Fountain City, WI, her daughter Letitia (Todd) Lemay of Queen Creek, AZ, one stepdaughter Laurie Stewart of Dubuque, IA, four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings Karen (Craig) Hoecherl of Anoka, MN, Donna Kurtz of Spring Grove, MN, Gary (Rachel) Senn of Bush Valley, MN and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marsha Senn earlier this year and one stepdaughter Robyn Lubinski.
