Sandra Kay (Koehler) Rackow

Sandra Kay "Sandy" (Koehler) Rackow, 51, of Winona died Sunday February 1, 2009 at her home. She was born June 28, 1957 in Winona to Harold and Elaine (Tews) Koehler. Sandy graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1975. On February 6, 1988 Sandy married Eugene Rackow, Sr. She has worked as a quality inspector for Lake Center Switch, later becoming TRW. Sandy loved boating on the Mississippi, taking fishing trips and hosting holiday parties and gatherings. Most of all Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Alexa and Evan. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Winona and volunteered as secretary of the Winona American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband Eugene, a step-daughter Darcy (Brad) Morescki of Winona, her two grandchildren, Alexa and Evan Morescki, four brothers; Duane (Penny) Koehler, Steve (Mary) Koehler, Dwight (Susie) Koehler and Bruce (Kathy) Koehler all of Winona, two sisters, Lynnette Koehler (LeRoy) of Winona and Cindra (Jay) Bade of Minnesota City and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son Eugene Rackow, Jr. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with the Reverends Paul Welke and James Nelson officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Hansen Goodview Chapel.
