Sadie E. Beirne

Lewiston, MN Sadie E. Beirne, 81, of Lewiston, MN, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Lewiston Villa Nursing Home in Lewiston, MN. Sadie was born on June 3, 1926 in Ettrick, WI to Idius and Julia (Luthro) Bjorge. She attended Upper French Creek School. On February 2, 1946, Sadie married William Beirne in Trempealeau County. She worked at the St. Mary's College book store and cafeteria in Winona and as a cook at the Cady Golf Course and Recreation Bar and Caf? in Lewiston, MN. Sadie was also a farm wife on their family farm. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston and the St. Rose Altar Society. William passed away on August 12, 1998. Sadie is survived by 5 children, one son Michael Beirne of Oaks, ND; four daughters, Phyllis Swanson of Whitehall, WI; Diane (Roger) Ladewig of Dakota, MN; Kathy (Jim) Jereczek of Fountain City, WI; and Denise (Jeff) Griffin of Lewiston, MN; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a sister Helen Linberg of Blair, WI, and two sisters-in-law Charlotte Bishop of Ettrick, WI and Sybil Beirne of Portage, WI. Sadie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, daughter Debra, one great-granddaughter, one sister, and three brothers. Sadie's Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 20, 2007 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, MN with the Reverend Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
