Ruth Ann Oslie

Ruthie A. (nee Storandt) Oslie, age 78 of Melrose (North Bend), WI, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Lake Winona Manor.

Ruthie was born December 31, 1945, in North Bend, WI, to Phillip and Helen (nee Johnson) Storandt. Ruthie graduated from Melrose High school in 1965.

Ruthie was a devoted homemaker. She loved taking care of her family. Ruthie was an excellent cook, she could bake any dessert and she also like canning, especially when she could share a day with her mother doing this.

Ruthie later worked for Northern Engraving in Galesville, WI, and TRW in Ettrick, WI, she retired in 2005.

She married Robert Oslie on July 1, 1967, at Burr Oak Lutheran Church. And to this union two children were born.

Ruthie loved to shop for her grandchildren, she enjoyed decorating for all holidays and loved it when her children and grandchildren came home to enjoy her decoration, treats, and a wonderfully homecooked meal.

Ruthie was a member of North Bend Presbyterian Church and served on the session. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Ruthie is survived by her loving and devoted children, Terri (Paul) Moger of Rollingstone and Craig (Cori) Oslie of Lewiston; her cherished grandchildren, Karli (Sheldon) Luehmann, Karson Moger, Madison Oslie, Nolan Oslie, and Lincoln Oslie; one great grandchild, Jolene Luehmann; sister-in-law, Juanita (Obbie) Haag of Onalaska, WI; brothers-in-law, Dick (Sherry) Oslie of Melrose, WI, and Mike (Kelly) Oslie of Galesville, WI; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Jim and Dianne Daffinson of Trempealeau, WI. 

Besides her parents, Ruthie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her sister, Phyllis Patterson.

A Funeral Service will be held for Ruth on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am at Hoff Celebration of Life Center (3480 Service Dr. Goodview, MN). Ruth will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in North Bend, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Evergreen Cemetery in North Bend, WI.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff at Lake Winona Manor for all their care. Ruthie considered you all family and loved having fun with the young girls.

We can see you hanging clothes on your clothesline in heaven mom, what a beautiful sight. Until we meet again, mom, all of our memories will be tucked closed to our hearts. We love you!
