Ruth H. Gustavson, 63, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007, following a longtime battle with cancer at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Ruth was born October 29, 1943, in Waumandee, WI to Edward and Romelle (Prokop) Crawford. Ruth married Kenneth Gustavson and he preceded her in death. Ruth married George Myers and later divorced but remained life long friends. Ruth was a life long resident of Winona spending only one day in Lake Winona Manor who worked for Knit Craft for twenty plus years and also worked for Super American Gas Station. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winona. Ruth was a volunteer for the United Way and a member of an emphysema support group. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, work on her computer and had a special bond with her granddaughter's dog, Jada. The family wishes to thank Sister Jeroma Day for her numerous visits to strengthen Ruth's faith during her time of illness.Survivors include her two children, Troy (Julie) Gustavson of Burnsville, MN and Tammy Gustavson of Winona; three grandchildren, Tara, Lane and Drew Gustavson; sisters, Kathy (Craig) Harders and Joan Rude both of Winona, MN and Charlotte (Jerry) Arnhardt of Oklahoma City, OK; and brother, Al Crawford of Winona, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth and brother, Charlie.A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 11:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Reverend William Becker officiating. Interment will take place at a late date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday."Remember not my fight for breath; Remember not the strife.
