Ruth Ellen (Spahr) Klug, 83, of Lewiston, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Samaritan Bethany Home in Rochester. She was born August 12, 1926, in Stockholm, SD, to Charles & Lola (Hardtke) Spahr.In 1949 she married Ignatius John Klug in Ortonville, MN. They lived in Wykoff & Caledonia, MN before making their home in Lewiston, MN in 1952.Ruth worked for Fuller Brush, Creative Circle and Princess House Crystal. She received an accounting degree in 1976 from Winona Technical School and worked as an accountant until her retirement.She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Terry) Schwanke of Rochester; five sons, Charles (Susan) of Eagan, MN, Randy (Frances) of Cedar Falls, IA, Kenneth (Susan Landowski) of Lewiston, MN, Daniel (Susan) of Vacaville, CA, and William (Sandy) of Brentwood, CA; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignatius; sister, Alice Cinclair and brothers, Forrest & Robert Klockeman.Ruth Ellen loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and counted cross stitching in her favorite chair where she spent many hours making gifts for her family and friends.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, July 28 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating.
