Ruby Wiskow

Ruby Emgard Wiskow, 90, of St. Charles died Tuesday morning July 24th at Whitewater Golden Living Center in St. Charles.She was born January 27, 1917 in Elba to William and Lena Wiskow, the youngest of 12 children. Ruby attended the Elba school through 8th grade. She worked at Home Produce in St. Charles for several years then worked as a Nurse's Aid in St. Mary's Hospital Rochester until retiring. Ruby enjoyed making crafts and traveled to area craft shows to sell her crafts. In 1970 she traveled to Germany to visit her son. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidery, playing cards and reading. She was a lifetime member of Berea Moravian Church, north of St. Charles. Survivors include her son Gerald (Kathy) Wiskow of Port Washington, WI, three grandchildren, Robert of Evanston, IL; Mike of Madison, New Jersey and Sarah of Port Washington, WI. She was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at Berea Moravian Church in rural St. Charles with the Reverend David Sobek officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
