Rosalyon Iva (Allen, Yuman) Garceau, 81, o fWinona, MN, died on November 24th, 2024.
She was born July 2nd, 1943, in St. Charles, MN, with parents Nellie Iva Allen and Frank Pierce Allen. She had one sister, Bonnie Allen and brother Dennis Allen (with wife Eve and son Ian).
Rosie was married twice. Her first marriage to Bart Yuman brought her one and only child Raymond Frank Yuman.
After the divorce, Rosie and Ray moved to Stockton in 1970, where she worked as a crossing guard for the elementary school until it closed.
In 1978, she began her second marriage with Henry Garceau. They spent many years together living in Stockton, MN, where they would fish, play cards with their friends, have fun at the local bar, or invite their grandkids over to play in the yard.
She loved her grandkids and great grandkids with all of her heart and cherished all the moments she got to spend with them. In her free time, she was very fond of cats, she loved drinking coffee, playing bingo, reading books, collecting DVDs, or watching and listening to anything involving Elvis Presley.
Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, son, and great granddaughter Alexxis.
She is survived by her brother Denny, her grandkids Corey Yuman, Crystal Yuman (her children Sariyah, Zavion, McKinlee), Kayla Yuman (her children Arianna and Taision), Jenna Yuman (her daughter Jaelyn), Kelsey Yuman, Brady Yuman and Taylor Yuman.
Rosie’s funeral service will take place at Hoff Funeral Home in Winona, MN on Tuesday, December 3rd. Visitation hours are from 10am to 12:00 PM with a sit-down service starting at 12:00. Her burial will take place after the service at 1:30 PM at Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles, MN.
Her family would like to thank all the staff at Lake Winona Manor Nursing Home who worked very hard to help Rosie be comfortable in the final months of her life.
