Ronald "Ron" Kraft

Ronald “Ron” Kraft, 75, of Houston, MN died on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Claddagh Senior Living in Caledonia, MN. Ron was born at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, MN on November 23, 1946, to Rudolph and Daphine Kraft. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Elkton.  

Ron grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Elkton High School. He then attended Rochester Community College and graduated with his associate’s degree in business and finance. He worked in sales for many years, all while maintaining his crop farm in Houston, MN.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Many people will remember Ron for his hard-working, kindhearted mannerisms. He was a very social man, who loved to visit with his friends.

Ron will be missed by his children, Shawn (Mike Schleinz) Kraft and Lee (Lisa) Whipkey; grandchildren, Brandon Frenzen and Callie Maxwell; sister, Marlys (Dave) Senjem; sister-in-law, Peggy Kraft; nephew, Dwight Senjem; niece, Jannah (Eric) Conger; and great-neice, Hailey Conger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Kraft, Daphine and Lester Jorstad; daughter, Shelley Frenzen; brother, Roger Kraft; and special uncle Gilbert (Elnora "Bonnie") Kraft.

Visitation for Ron will be on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home in Houston, MN. A Memorial Service will take place following the visitation at Hoff Funeral Home at 4 p.m.
