Roger Allyn Kulack, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, at his home, after a long illness. Born on July 20, 1947, to Frederick and Lorraine Kulack, Roger was a passionate lover of the outdoors, finding solace in the beauty of nature through his fishing and hunting adventures.
Known for his jovial spirit and love for practical jokes, Roger was always ready to bring laughter to those around him, often playing pranks on his coworkers during his working years. Post-retirement, he found joy in working alongside his sister, Judy, and eventually becoming a skilled meat cutter, where he made many cherished friendships.
One of Roger's greatest joys was his annual Boundary Waters trip with his wife, Gloria, a tradition they faithfully upheld for over two decades starting in 1980. An avid angler, Roger's expertise extended to creating his own fishing lures and engaging in online buying and selling of fishing reels and books.
Roger is survived by his wife (just two months shy of 55 years of marriage), Gloria; children, Brian Grassman, Fred (Jennifer), and Jeni (Marty) Dorn; grandchildren, Joshua, Victoria, Ariel, Melina (Preston) Walker, Rhiannon, and Violet; and sisters, Sandra (Daryl) Erion, and Lori (Hollis) Donehower.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Judy Forward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 12pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (180 S. Fremont St. Lewiston, MN) with visitation beginning at 11am. Visitation will also take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, 3pm-7pm. Roger will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
