Roger J. Kulas

Roger J. Kulas, 71, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Roger was born November 23, 1935, in Winona, MN to Joseph and Cecelia (Rebhahn) Kulas. He married Katherine Sogla on August 29, 1959, in Winona, MN. Roger was a life long resident of Winona and was a truck driver for Bay State Milling retiring in 1997 following 31 years of employment. Roger loved his family and is lovingly remembered for his generosity. He always was willing to share his time and talents with family and friends. Roger was a lifetime member of the Winona Sportsman's Club who enjoyed fishing on the Mississippi River, hunting, woodworking and following stock car racing.Survivors include his wife, Katherine; five children, Debra Kulas of Duluth, GA, Annette (Neil) Hoffman of Cameron, WI, Donna (David) Phillips of Sugar Hill, GA, Richard (Sherry) Kulas of St. Charles, MN and Betty (Tim) Gulden of Winona, MN; ten grandchildren, Chelsea Hoffman, Kaitlyn Gulden, Hillary Hoffman, Kyler Gulden, Sadye Gulden, Josie Hoffman, Hannah Phillips, Joseph Kulas, Dane Phillips and Sarah Kulas; brother, Jerome (Sonja) Kulas of Winona, MN; and sister, Carol Rolbiecki-Lange of Winona, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at 11:00am at Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeff Franko officiating. Burial will be in Rushford Lutheran Cemetery in Rushford, MN.
