PETERSON, MINN. - Rodney J. "Bumpa" Nation Sr., 53, of Peterson, Minn. died on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. He was born on March 29, 1954, in Winona, Minn. to Roger and Mary (Overing) Nation. He was raised in Money Creek where he lived until the past 15 years, when he lived in Rushford, Houston and Peterson. He married Cathy Olson. They were later divorced. Rodney worked as a mechanic and a milk hauler. His interests included Hunting and Fishing. Rodney is survived by two sons: R.J. Nation of Lanesboro, Minn. and Jerad (Vicky) Nation of Houston; one daughter: Sheila (Kaution Mohammed) Nation of Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren: Abigail, Hayley, Honza, and Kariya; two brothers: Gary (Jean) Nation and Bruce (Tammy) Nation both of Rushford; and two sisters: Bonnie (Duane) Meyer and Judy (Bill) Grover both of Rushford. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel with the Rev. Lane Zaffke officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel.
