Robert S. Rasmussen

Robert S. Rasmussen, 77, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at his home in Rushford, MN. Robert was born November 26, 1931, in Hart, MN, to Andrew and Bella (Olson) Rasmussen. He married Lorna A. Bremseth on November 7, 1953 in Rushford, MN. Robert was a life long farmer who enjoyed working with horses and loved his dogs.Survivors include his wife, Lorna; 5 children, Terry (Pamela) Rasmussen, Mark (Deb) Rasmussen, Robin (Curt) Courrier all of Rushford, MN, Renee (Todd) Schwanke of Spring Valley, MN, and Jeffrey (Grace) Rasmussen of Rushford, MN; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Delores (Art) Ensberg of Grand Rapids, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, Orville, Alvin, Bert, Rollins and twin infant brothers, and 2 sisters, Pearl and Pearl.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, at 2:00pm at Root River Community Church in Rushford with Pastor Terry Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in Rushford Lutheran Cemetery in Rushford. Friends may call on Monday at Root River Community Church from 5-8:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday.
