ROLLINGSTONE AREARobert "Bob" Nicholas Weis, 88, from the Rollingstone area, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Lake Winona Manor.Bob was born September 24, 1925 on a farm in Rollingstone to Arthur and Margaret (Hengel) Weis. When he was 11, his family moved to Oak Ridge near Altura. He was inducted into the United States Army on October 23, 1950 during the Korean War and was later honorably discharged. Robert was united in marriage to Mary Holtegaard. Bob worked various jobs in Winona, including maintenance at the Historical Society and driving bus at St. Anne Extended Healthcare. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins.Bob is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Mary Weis; children, Lee (Mike) Tieche of AZ, Terry Goree of MI, Debra (Ron) Schiewe of KY, Laura (John) Lutz of Shakopee, and Bob (Penny) Weis of Winona; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Kyle, Ross, Karin, Molli, Cody, and Amber; 6 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nephews, and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Paula Ludwig; sister, Honora (Chuck) Nessler; and niece, Charlotte Nessler.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center. A prayer service will begin at 6pm, led by Reverend William Kulas.
