Robert Lawrence Kreidermacher age 91, of Rollingstone died May 31, 2015 at Sauer Health Care in Winona. He was born January 29, 1924 in Mt. Vernon Township Winona County, MN to Lawrence and Hattie (Kohner) Kreidermacher.Robert grew up on a farm on Oak Ridge and graduated from Holy Trinity High School, Rollingstone in 1942. He entered the U.S Army on February 26, 1945 and served with the 551st Military Police Company in Oahu until November of 1946. After moving to Rollingstone he embarked on what would be his passion, "Trucking". He owned and operated KBT "Kreidermacher Bros. Trucking" along with his brother Fran. He drove truck until his retirement at an age somewhere close to 80. He often said "most people hate going to work, but I have always loved what I do and never considered it a job, and I was always in demand."Robert loved reading, playing cards, and socializing. He was a history buff and sports fan with an unbelievable memory for stats and trivia even to the end. Robert was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a member of the St. Nicholas Society.He is survived by his daughter Nora (Bob) Slavin of Rollingstone, three grandchildren Joe (Darcy) Slavin Mandy (Jim) Duerr, and Josh (Jwana) Slavin; twelve great-grandchildren: Caleb, Madi, Zack, Miriam, Emma, Isaac, Sarah, Sophia, Mya, Jacob, Tripp, and Cash; two brothers, Jim of Rollingstone and Jack (Delores) of Rollingstone; a sister-in-law Catherine of Winona, and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Fran, Leonard, and Connie, two sisters, Bernice and Winnifred, and beloved companion Neola Schell.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body; rather to skid in sideways, tools in one hand, grease gun in the other, body thoroughly used up and worn out screaming WOO HOO what a ride!Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Visitation will be 5 -8 p.m., Thursday at the church and one hour prior to Mass on Friday. He will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
